The following are some of the things that I am going to need help with this summer and next polo season. Once we designate a team parent they will coordinate who is in charge of what, but go ahead and let me know as soon as you can if there is something that you would like to volunteer for.
Team Parent - Serve as a parent liaison to the coach. You will meet and discuss the jobs with the coach and recruit volunteers to cover each task.
Team Roster – Make and distribute a team roster to all parents with phone numbers, email addresses and parent’s name and information.
Clothes Order - Work with me to order our suits, polo shirts, and optional clothes as well as collect money for the order.
Team Dinners - Make a schedule for weekly team dinners and communicate to the team via email where each dinner is and directions to the house.
Transportation/Hotels - Keep track of those parents who have filled out their driving paperwork through the school (hound those that haven’t to do so) and ensure that we have drivers scheduled for each tournament that we take vans as opposed to a bus. Make sure that all athletes have transportation to in town games when we do not take a bus. Make hotel reservations for our out of town tournaments.
Fundraising - Assist with banner sales by collecting money, ordering banners, and keeping track of dates that the banners were purchased. Organize a team car wash.
Banquet - Coordinate end of season banquet.
Media Manager - Maintain an online photo album through Picassa to link to the website. You can either be the team photographer or have whatever parents are taking pictures send them to you and then put them in the photo album. Update the website with results from our games. I email scores and comments to the local news agencies. I will cc you on that email and then you can input them onto the team website.
Snack Bar - Coordinate donations and work schedules for the snack bar for home games. Make sure that our snack bar is in compliance with the Health Department so we don’t get in trouble by the “Hot Dog Police.”
Statistician - Keep an up to date record of game scores and individual player stats. I will email the results and stats to be kept in an excel spreadsheet.
Team Trip - Assist in coordinating a team trip on the weekend of August 28th-30th.
